Carol Lundeen
Carol Lundeen grew up a pastor’s kid in Paynesville, MN. Her art career began in a small church where her mother let her doodle and draw to keep her from squirming in the pew while her dad preached. She drew the backs of people’s heads, football players and horses to fill the time. As she grew, her interest settled in on wildlife… particularly the wildlife of the west after a family trip introduced her bison, pronghorn and wild horses. It was something she wouldn’t forget. For several years now, Carol has been pursuing her art full time as an Associate Member of Women Artists of the West and a member of Cowgirls of America. She has studied oil painting at great length with oil artist, Robert Hagberg and many other nationally known wildlife artists in recent years. Her work has earned her several awards through national shows and competitions. “I paint to give honor to our Lord and Creator, Jesus Christ. The bible tells us that Jesus created all things for His glory. So, when I imitate on canvas what the Lord has created, I am telling my viewers that He exists. Both for me and for them. To God be the glory.” -Carol
