G. Grant Redden
George Grant Redden is a native of Wyoming and currently lives there with his wife and three kids. Frequenting the mountains while growing up, the wilderness carries a lot of meaning for him and his family. Art is similarly impactful, having grown up watching his dad (Grant Redden), painting pictures ever since he can remember. He has studied under multiple mentors, including his dad, who have all helped him to ground his study in the old masters.
His work reflects his experiences in the outdoors as well as the historical atmosphere that permeated where he grew up, including pieces portraying Native Americans and homesteading Europeans. He strives to emphasize the impactful emotions of these people, as depicted through portraiture, figurative work, and their relationships with the land.
Most of all, he is a husband and a father. No other joy has ever compared to the blessing of parenting alongside his wife.
